Fjallraven-Oban Jacket

A new addition to HENRY this season is Swedish outdoor brand Fjallraven. A heritage brand if there ever was one, Fjallraven (Swedish for Arctic Fox) was founded in 1960 by Ake Nordin to service the mountaineering and outdoor market in Sweden. The Oban Jacket is made of G-1000 fabric (a Fjallraven innovation), a strong water resistant blend of polyester and cotton that is waxed with their own Greenland Wax for waterproofing. The Oban is available in black and green($350).

All The Beautiful Girls-Marlene Marino

Photographer Marlene Marino first came to our attention through her hauntingly intimate book detailing  a 16-year old Cuban girl’s world for Purple Magazine. Marino has shot campaigns for Porsche and worked for top fashion magazines, but it is her personal black and white images that boldly illustrate the seductive power of beauty and youth. David Ellis vs Blu

We came across this video a few weeks ago and had to post it. Technically it is a little old now but this level of creativity never gets stale. This is a video/art collaboration between artist David Ellis and  underground hip-hop player Blu. It’s a bit longer than most YouTube videos but it is well worth it. Enjoy the long weekend.
